Explorations in Generative AI: From Concept to Print

Expanding creative possibilities through AI-assisted design.

This project highlights the integration of generative AI to streamline the production process from initial concept to final print. By leveraging specific prompting techniques, I was able to produce a diverse range of assets from functional site maps to atmospheric event invitations while significantly reducing the typical design timeline.

CREATIVE APPROACH

My process for generative AI is centered on creative direction rather than automated output. I treat these tools as a high-speed extension of the traditional design process, allowing for rapid prototyping and the refinement of visual concepts that would otherwise take days to execute.

Instead of letting the technology dictate the aesthetic, I apply a designer’s lens to every stage. This involves establishing a clear stylistic intent for every project, whether the requirement is a clean modern interface or a warm, textured illustration. I use precise descriptors to ensure the results align with a unique visual language. The process always concludes with a final layer of manual design, such as refining typography and adjusting color grading to ensure every asset is technically sound for high-quality print or digital use.

For the workspace navigation, the focus was on creating a clear, approachable map that guides users through key access points like the roller door, elevator, and final destination.

AI was used to generate a playful, inviting illustration style that makes site logistics feel intuitive and visually engaging. This balanced technical information with a polished, professional aesthetic.

The final result was produced as a small paper handout for visitors to carry. This practical solution has allowed people to navigate the site independently, reaching their destination easily without needing to ask for assistance.

I utilized AI to develop distinct visual identities for various social gatherings, focusing on specific moods and seasonal themes to create an immediate connection with the viewer.

SUMMER PICNIC

A vibrant and citrus centered theme using oranges / tangerines to create an energetic, fresh atmosphere. The focus here was on bright lighting and organic textures.

For this invitation, the goal was a more mature and refined aesthetic. The prompt was made to ensure the final image felt sophisticated and welcoming for an evening event, balancing the warmth of the fire with a clean layout.
